Neti Pot Remedy For Colds Flu Allergies And Sinus

It's nearly March, so the "colds and flu" season - along with those nasty sore throats blocked up nose and watery eyes are well behind us - yes! Wrong! Even if you have escaped the sympthoms of colds and flu, for many of us allergy time is just
around the corner.

That's why I am going to tell you about a natural technique that is being used by thousands of people to overcome the effects of their colds, flu, headaches and even allergies.

If you want a guaranteed way of keeping your sneezing, coughing and wheezing at bay, you need to get acquainted with a yoga cleansing technique called 'Jalaneti', or neti for short.

What is neti? You may not have heard of saline nasal irrigation but it is a remedy that is being used to keep the sinuses clear, as well as keeping the mind calm.

The worse thing about colds, flu, throat infections and allergies is that you can often feel their onset, however, you have little to no control over halting them. While drugs may suppress the awful sympthoms, they may also in the process add a few
undesirable side effects of their own.

Neti changes all that. Not only is it preventive, but even if the symptoms do strike you, you can hold them from exploding into a full blown suffering.

How Does Neti Work?

In a nutshell, a special NETI POT is filled with warm and saline water. The spout of the pot is then inserted into one nostril. The position of the head and pot are adjusted so that the water flows out of the other nostril.

The procedure is then alternated with the other nostril and that's it - finish. As the water drains out , it flushes the nasal canal and nasal linings thoroughly. The nostrils are then dried out throughly using special techniques.

The way in which Jala Neti rinses out the dirt and bacteria filled mucous lining would be obvious to most people as the warm water loosens and dissolves any internal build ups, and takes them outwards.

However, what may not be so obvious is that, due to gravity and a venturi-effect, the sinus passages are also drained by the vacuum pressure flow of the water. Whereas it would normally be impossible to drain a dead end cavity like the sinuses, Jala Neti achieves this ingeniously and simply.

As the water flows past the nasal passages it sucks out the virus-infested mucus from the sinus cavities flushing them clean with the saline water.

Why You Might Not Have Previously Heard Of The Neti Technique!

Just imaging the loss of revenue for the entire colds and nasal allergy drug market if this ‘humble’ natural technique was to become popular? Think about it and you’ll know why the drug lobbies will never oblige.

You might even be issued with a warning about possible side effects of neti - which is a 100% natural and chemical free technique.

On the question of side effects, the only ones are positives and are what neti has been achieving for centuries:

  • Neti is a great tool for respiratory conditions such as
sinusitis, allergy, asthma, hay fever to name a few. People
invariably notice an immediate relief which drugs fail to
    achieve.

  • If you experience problems associated with your eyes and ears,
Neti is of great benefit in helping to allieviate certain types of
deafness. For example, tinitis and myopia

  • Once you progress to the advanced stages of neti, it works
wonders for throat infections, as well as helping to reprogram
the body's natural mechanisms against respiratory complaints
    including sore throats and coughs.

  • Neti has a cooling and soothing effect on the brain, making it
beneficial for headaches, migraine, depression, mental tensions
and even epilepsy, hysteria and temper tantrums.

  • From the yogic perspective, it stimulates the psychic center,
in effect stimulating better powers of visualization and
concentration, while giving a feeling of lightness and clarity
    to the mind.

However, the INSTANT benefits of neti are what it does to the sinuses. You don’t have to look far to see how HUGE the benefits are for sinus infections and symptoms.

The resource provide information on how to make neti an easy and delightful practice through using the right neti pot. There is also an instructional video cdrom. This has not only helped beginners overcome the initial fear but also helped them move up to the advanced neti stages quite easily and gain the fullest benefits.
